About the job

In this role you will be responsible for sales of SAS software, solutions and services in a high volume, multi-tasking environment to prospective and current accounts with the public sector in Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in your accounts supporting solutions and implementations that make a difference in lives of people.

As an Account Executive, you will:

    Sell software, solutions and services to current and prospective customers in a variety of subject matter areas.
  • Work with other sales personnel to position and leverage opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within assigned territory.
  • Use solution-selling methodology, pipeline management and forecasting to identify accounts with high "close" potential, qualify, and forecast time frames to close business.
  • Prospect within a territory or account to uncover business needs.
  • Work closely with support teams and executives to close highly qualified, high revenue potential opportunities.
  • Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed.
  • Assist in evaluation of territory or account potential.
  • Analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan; communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Government Sales experience or relevant domain experience.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-driven, organized, strong time management skills
  • Ability to travel as business needs require

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field of study or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
