The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The purpose of the ColumbiaDoctors/NewYork-Presbyterian Imaging (CDNYPI) compliance program is to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse; as well as to identify and address instances of non-compliance as quickly and efficiently as possible. This is accomplished by adherence of staff to policies and procedures created to ensure compliance; by creating new policies when a need or opportunity for improvement is identified; by performing audits on an ongoing basis; by putting in place corrective actions when deficiencies are identified; by reporting instances of non-compliance when appropriate; by ongoing participation in and oversight by the Compliance Committee; and by ongoing staff education regarding compliance.

Reporting to the Compliance Officer and Departmental Administrator, the Compliance Program Coordinator will assist the Compliance Officer with developing and maintaining the CDNYPI compliance program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Compliance Officer with policy development, review and revisions.
  • Assist with development of processes and audits that identify all types of non-compliance topics.
  • Implement these processes and audits in collaboration with other staff. Record and track findings to allow presentation at quarterly meetings and in annual reports.
  • Participate in Quarterly Compliance Committee Meetings, review the minutes, and lead the implementation of any new processes or changes to current processes identified and approved by the Compliance Committee.
  • Assist with compiling an Annual Report, Compliance Program Review Process and corrective action plans for risks identified.
  • Ensure training program modules are current and all staff and providers have access. Work with managers to ensure providers, staff mandatory certifications and training are current, Work with HR to ensure orientees are trained within 30 days of hire.
  • Assist Compliance Officer and Billing Compliance Department with OMIG requests requiring Review Module from OMIG.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
  • New York State RN license and a minimum of 4 years of Radiology experience.
