Reporting directly to SVP of Finance, the VP of Treasury Operations is a key member of the finance leadership team and will play a pivotal role within the department in providing thought leadership & management of all core treasury activities including asset management, capital allocation, liquidity and debt management. This finance executive will play a significant part in shaping the company's financial strategy, managing financial risks, and optimizing capital structure.

The VP of Treasury Operations will lead the team responsible for executing treasury transactions, implementing efficient processes, optimizing transaction costs, and establishing state-of-the-art controls. In addition to possessing extensive treasury experience, the ideal candidate will have strong leadership and analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in personal growth and development of talented people.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive direction and support for treasury operations; evaluate and optimize the capital structure to minimize borrowing costs and ensure funding availability.
  • Build and develop strong, productive relationships with all key internal (FP&A, accounting, IT) and external (auditors, banks, service providers) stakeholders; provide strategic direction and decision making in collaboration with business leaders and the CFO.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives; develop action plans to achieve short term and long-term objectives
  • Oversee and manage capital structure of the company for optimal Gross and net leverage; drive strategy for financing including both private and/or public market debt instruments
  • Evaluate short-term and long-term capital allocation plans, scenarios, and analytics, including organic investments, M&A, share buy back, debt paydown, etc.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of liquidity and cash management processes; manage short-term liquidity process and optimize utilization of cash;
  • Oversee daily cash position monitoring and forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity for company operations; develop and execute cash management strategies to maximize yield on cash/investment returns.
  • Oversee the global cash forecast process to ensure regional liquidity needs are met and excess cash is optimally invested; maximize the return on investment of the company's excess funds in accordance with the investment policy.
  • Establish a platform for Treasury Operations and drive forward harmonization of IT and processes; ensure appropriate policies are in place.
  • Creates and designs cash flow and working capital reporting - including visualizations for presentation to operating / functional leaders, executive leadership and other committees.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial policies; actively monitor and ensure compliance with debt covenants.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and rating agencies; and identify opportunities for new partnerships
  • Ensure bank account structure is efficient and meets the regional needs of the businesses; monitor and optimize bank transaction fees; monitor daily cash positions and transaction processing.
  • Identify and assess financial/market risks including interest rate, currency, and commodity risks; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and hedging programs.
  • Drive process efficiency; oversee operational accounting processes and design efficient back office processes.
  • Ensure compliance with treasury SOX controls, respond to internal and external audit requests, and provide recommendations to control structure.
  • Support M&A due diligence and integration as needed
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, fostering collaboration and peak performance
  • Enhance cross-functional collaboration, ensuring effective communication and partnership across departments

Position Requirements & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation and healthcare industry experience, preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in treasury, finance, or similar roles, with significant emphasis on financial planning and risk management and treasury ops
  • Extensive experience in global treasury management; public company experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, banking operations, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven track record of leadership
  • Experience in negotiating external contracts and agreements
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and build relationships internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively communicate complex concepts
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong change management skills and ability to lead change within the organization and be comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty

**Position is hybrid with 2-3 days per week in the Purchase, NY office.

The base salary range for this position is $225,000-$250,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc-_2024_US_Benefits. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
