Your Role at impact.com:

As the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for managing the global accounting function and a highly complex global financial operations function while continually improving procedures, processes, and systems. Reporting to the VP, Global Controller and working closely with key stakeholders across the company, you will play an integral role in supporting our growth as we continue to scale globally.

What You'll Do:
  • Direct the organization's accounting, financial operations, tax, and financial reporting activities for a complex, 1,200 person, multi-entity, multi-currency, global company
  • Provide technical and operational accounting guidance, including but not limited to, preparation of technical accounting memos, desktop procedures, and accounting policies, incorporating accounting best practices, to provide guidance and clarity to the organization
  • Oversee the closing processes for month-end and year-end, including preparing financial statements and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards under U.S. GAAP; work with auditors to drive timely close of annual audit and maintain an effective control environment
  • Coordinate timely external audits and manage tax filings
  • Assess and enhance financial workflows and procedures for optimal efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement within the accounting department
  • Effectively manage direct and indirect reports across time zones through organized priorities and non-traditional hours
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
What You Have:
  • CPA with strong knowledge of both U.S. GAAP and financial operations required
  • 12+ years of experience in accounting, 7+ years of direct and indirect people management, and public accounting experience (big 4 preferred)
  • An independent, self-motivated individual who works well under pressure with a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with prior experience having gathered, structured, monitored, and validated data to ensure data integrity and detailed documentation; has developed a habit of checking the accuracy of data and analysis several times over before submitting for review
  • Significant expertise in setting up automated processes to increase the effectiveness of the team and minimizing room for error
  • Excellent multi-tasker who is always "on it" with stellar time and project management skills; understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple review points and iterations
  • Strong communicator, both written & verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone/internet communications
  • Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information
  • Self-starter with a great work ethic and an analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills, possessing the initiative to create presentations and analysis from scratch to answer questions posed and look into the details and interpret the impact of key business drivers

Salary range: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year, plus additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.
