Position Summary:

The Senior Sales Trainer - Orthopedics Division, leads the development, implementation and execution of sales training. The objective is to accelerate the growth of the sales training divisions for both Joint Reconstruction and Orthopedic Trauma.

The Senior Sales Trainer will represent the company in accordance with the company's quality policy and procedures. The Orthopedic Sales Training program trains on three key pillars: clinical knowledge, technical expertise, and sales skills. The training and assessment of the skills to achieve these pillars are delivered through various training programs. Training programs include, but are not limited to, fundamental courses, product-specific trainings, selling skills, and advanced programs.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Sales Trainer to grow each respective division. The incumbent will play a critical role in providing the development and training to sales representatives, enabling them to effectively promote and strategically sell orthopedic and trauma medical devices and solutions. The position requires the individual to be a functional expert with the ability to coordinate with various subject matter experts in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates are expected to possess advanced knowledge as it relates to anatomy, imaging, pathology, and technical competence. The applicant should possess proven sales skills specific to Joint Reconstruction and/or Orthopedic Trauma. It is critical for the candidate to have the ability to effectively transfer their well-developed clinical acumen and sales expertise to learners. This individual is expected to direct the design, planning, and implementation of corporate training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company through effective Project Management, Budgeting, and Leadership Development.

Essential Functions:

  • Continuously develops and enhances the training curriculum to reflect industry trends and advanced technologies.
  • Coordinates training courses, including incorporation of speakers (Sales Managers, Product Development staff, and surgeons), and facilitates the discussion involving those speakers.
  • Manages training agendas and content; lectures and teaches course content upon hire.
  • Works with various departments to manage the development of training materials that enhance the learning process.
  • Partners with Product Development and eLearning Specialists to ensure the training materials address all components of effective adult learning principles.
  • Collaborates with Regulatory Affairs and the Office of Ethics and Compliance; is responsible for the review and approval of all promotional and presentation materials prior to use/distribution.
  • Collaborates with various departments to coordinate course logistics.
  • Measures the program effectiveness and overall quality, including metrics reporting, the development of recommendations for improvement, program innovation and competitive analysis and comparison.
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training.
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the following clinical areas: Orthopedic Trauma and/or Joint Reconstruction Surgery.
  • Previous experience in sales training, coaching, or leadership role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic and trauma products, procedures, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop sales talent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and sales training software/tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support training initiatives and attend sales meetings or conferences.
  • Flexible work hours based on training curriculums.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science, Education or Business-related discipline.
